Una mala acústica en el aula afecta negativamente al aprendizaje. Las fuentes de ruido en el salón de clases pueden ser:
???? El ruido interior como la ventilación, abanicos, el aire acondicionado, retroproyectores, las computadoras, entre otros.
???? Las paredes, techos y suelos que no estén adecuadamente aislados también pueden contribuir al ruido.
???? Los ruidos externos como el tráfico de carros, buses y aviones.
Los déficits en lectura y lenguaje debidos a una mala acústica en las aulas son acumulativos; por lo tanto, los efectos de una mala acústica en el aula puede tener efectos devastadores sobre todo para los estudiantes más jóvenes.
